Malaysian Education
As one of Britain’s colonial countries, Malaysian education is based on the formation of the British educational foundation. In Malaysia, education is divided into pre-school, primary, secondary, pre-university and higher education (university).

Malaysia offers a wide and comprehensive range of education levels of many kinds : from primary to MBA, and many different types of curriculum (British, Chinese, American, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Iranian, Iraqi, etc)

MM2H Education
Kindergarten – Most of the private kindergartens can be found easily in your neighborhood community area, residential area and shopping complexes. Their services also included Day-Care from morning to evening.

Primary School – MM2H participant’s children aged 7-12 are entitled to study in both Public & Private (international) schools in Malaysia. Student Visa is not applicable.

Secondary School – MM2H participant’s children aged 13-18 are entitled to study in both Public & Private (international) schools in Malaysia. Student Visa is not applicable.

University / College – MM2H participant’s children who have completed their secondary school’s syllabus are entitled to study in both Public & Private universities / colleges in Malaysia. Student required to terminate their MM2H visa in order to apply for the student visa.

Private & International Schools Overview
It is advisable for you to enroll as early as possible to ensure seats are available. A booking fee range from RM1,000 – RM3,000 will be required, and the school will advise you on the date of the assessment test for your children. Upon completion of the test, the school will assign the level and class for your children. You will then proceed to purchase the books materials and reservation for pick-up transport arrangement for your children, if you needed.

University Branch Campuses

World-class universities have set up branch campuses that offer internationally recognized degrees in collaboration with universities abroad. These universities offer undergraduate and post-graduate degree programs in Malaysia that are identical to their main campuses overseas.

Twinning Courses
The private institutes in Malaysia also offer twinning programs with other well-known universities throughout the world. Twinning courses are Malaysia’s first higher education system. The 1997 financial crisis sparked the implementation of this system to relieve parents of the financial burden at that point of time. In twinning programs, Malaysian educational institutions normally collaborate with well-known universities from the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States, New Zealand, France as well as Germany.

The degrees will be awarded by both universities. Twinning programs can be classified to 3+0, 2+1 or 1+2. For a 3+0 degree program, the student completes all 3 years of education at the Malaysian institution. For 1+2 and 2+1, the students pursue the first 1 or 2 years in Malaysia and the final part overseas.
